About this website: This website is meant to be a starting point to some of my sites on the Internet, an archive for photos and for travel related stories, a site to contact me etc. The site was re-created from an earlier version in march 2002. About the author: This website was created by Frank Dux. I work as a program manager for CoCoNet (previously as a consultant for Accenture), living in Düsseldorf, Germany. I am NOT the Kumite guy portrayed by Van Damme in the movie "Bloodsport" - do a search in Google to find plenty of sites about him... Technical blurb This site was developed on a Compaq Armada running Windows 2000, an Apache webserver, Perl 5 and MySql. Used tools include the Programmer's File Editor (PFE), which unfortunately is not maintained anymore, Evrsoft's HTML editor "1st page 2000" and of course Notepad. Graphics were created with Macromedia's Fireworks. The website was developed on a machine with a 1024x768 pixel resolution and Internet Explorer 5.5 as the browser. Netscape 4.x and Opera 3.5 should work, but I had no chance to test it. If this site doesn't work in your browser, please send me a short mail.. This and most of my other pages are hosted on a webserver (with Apache under Linux) that we run with a bunch of friends: click here for more information (in German). |
